Do Not Be Distracted (page 142) I would say the key word for this poem is "focus". With all that goes on in the world today and being able to receive news, good or mostly bad, quickly we can be distracted easily. When you get your eyes off Jesus for sure things can and will get worse.  Of course having a relationship with Him may add to you problems it is better keeping you focus on Him as we go through them with Him.

When Tears Flowed From The Cross (page 141) This is a good poem and ties in good with the previous one. I can't imagine what Jesus went through just because of His love for us. I truly believe as it is written He asked His Father, "Why have thou forsaken Me?"  Remember prior to Good Friday Jesus when praying asked His Father, "If there is any way to take this cup from Me!"  Jesus knew what was going to take place!  He did it for you and me.

As I Look At the Cross (page 140) I love this poem for it takes me and I pray others back in time.  It is that ever pressing question, "What would you do?" Sometimes when we see or read of things that happened we just shake our heads and think, I wouldn't have done that but way down deep we all wonder, would we?  There is a saying the closer you get to the Cross the fear people you find.

One Day Soon (page 139)  A true poem for all to understand.  As it is written in God's Word, Jesus will be coming back.  We do not know exactly when but as we look how the world is evolving we can only assume it will be soon.  Yes, Jesus is coming, what we do is wait expectantly!

The Robe Of Righteous (page 138) This poem reflects the thought of entering Heaven.  Because we gave our hearts to Jesus one day standing before The Father and Him we will all be sin free and given a white robe. No more will we be exposed to worldly sin and the sin we each had is forgiven forever.

A Mere Bag Of Shells (page 137)  This is a poem about life.  It states many times what life isn't about but also what it should be.  There is a comparison between right and wrong.  In the end when we stop and think about it when it comes to good and bad if we choose bad then we will always be left with nothing.

A God Day Is Upon Us (page 136) Each day that we are blessed with we choose what to do with it.  I choose to use it in serving God.  It is written that we should all "seek the Kingdom first" before we start our day.  We must also understand that we cannot do it on our own.  We need the Holy Spirit's guidance and direction using the Word of God as our daily guide.
