What Can I Do For You (page 82)
This is just a simple poem asking the Lord what can I do for Him. Again as it was mentioned in other poems "choice" comes into what we do throughout our day. So in this poem I asked the Lord to direct my feet and to open my eyes. I asked to have my ears opened and also for the right words to speak. See, if I am asking that means I am "choosing". In Matthew 7:7 it states: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you".

The Treasures Of Heaven (page 81)
I like this poem for it reminds me that I don't have to wait until I die to receive the treasures that the Heavenly Father has for me. From the day I accepted Jesus into my heart the treasures started flowing. Pause for a minute and think about how blessed you are today. I know I may have bad days but believe me the good have outnumbered the bad. And when you are having a bad day you are blessed for He is with you through it.

Tell Them For Me (page 80)
Another poem about ministry. I always thought you would have to be a Minister to spread God's message but now know that is not true. Though the true ministers are called by God, I feel once you have surrendered your life to Him the calling is the same. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. My friends, I take those words very seriously. As soon as my foot is out the door I am going "into the world". The last stanza reads;
Tell them, tell them, that they must make a choice,
tell them for Me, for you are My voice.
Tell them all, to not listen would be a mistake,
tell them My child before it’s too late.”
Within An Instant (page 79)
God hears our cries. We must always keep in mind His promises He will never leave us or forsake us. Also in the bible God's Word tells us to pray without ceasing. Like many people my heart was broken and when I cried out His answer was, “I am here My child, I will mend it for you!”. I was lost and confused and when I cried out to Him He answered, “Give Me your hand, I will guide you today!” This is the last stanza of the poem;
Within an instant whenever I cried,
the Lord was always there for me.
He wants to be there for you too,
if only you will open your heart to see.

Choose Wisely (page 78)
Yep, another poem about "choice". Must be important. This poem describes what you decide determines what happens to you. If you eat junk food, well, plan on seeing the doctor or doctors! Also the poem states what happens when you choose a sinful life. For sure God deplores sin so you know that eternity you will not spend with Him. But once you renounce your sinful ways and accept Christ, "joy, peace , happiness and love will never end!"
The Victory (page 77)
A very good poem about our battle against Cancer. My friends it is a battle. It robs our joy, steals our strength, crushes families for its mission is to destroy. That is what the first two stanzas of the poem is about. But what is more important is the next three stanzas. See, God is stronger and has won every battle put before Him. So Cancer's days are numbered for sure. For in Christ we more than conquer and through His grace all the battles we will win!
How Can This Still Be (page 76)
As I go along the Christian path that is before me I often question like the title of this poem states. Everything we have, yes even to the air we breaths call come from Him. He watches us constantly for we are never out of His sight. He directs our feet as to where we walk. He encourages us to do His will for the Kingdom. He gave us His Word to always know how to live. Now read the last two lines of this poem;
I am still amazed many still don’t know Him,
can someone tell me, how can this still be?

The Many Parts Of Faith (page 75)
Ok, what is faith? Well, the Bible states in Hebrew 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Also in Romans 12:3 "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith." So faith is a substance hoped for and each man/woman God has given us the measure of it. I love the last two stanza's of this poem;
We must keep on believing in His Word.
Don’t be moved away by what you feel or see.
For the victory of faith is in God’s timing,
our part is to stay steady, you and me.
So remember to stay unmoved,
use your discipline of faith to stay so true.
Every petition we put before the Lord,
we should say, “Now Lord, we are waiting on You!”
God's Timing (page 73)
I heard it once said, "Timing is everything". Well, God's timing surely is. This is a good poem. I like this the 3rd stanza;
But we are an anxious people,
we want everything now for we can’t wait.
We always fail to remember,
God’s always on time and never late.
Yep, we want things now, right now. And as this life goes on we need even quicker. Years ago to wait a minute or two on the phone was no big deal. We were just happy to have a phone. But now what was the norm, 2 minutes, we want in 2 seconds or we get upset. We don't see the big picture, but God does. My friends rely on His timing for His ways are always right! Amen!
The Mission (page 72)
My mission that I was called to did not start immediately. Well, for me it didn't, for God it could of been in just a heartbeat. First came the commitment. God's commitment to us starts at birth but He waits for us to make a commitment to Him. Once I surrendered my life to Him, in 1997, it took 7 years before God's mission for me began to unfold. Everything in this poem is true especially the last part that states, "Tell them time is getting short, the great I Am is waiting for them to decide!”

Why Do I Love Him (page 71)
I guess this poem is a question that each of us has to answer on our own. This is how I answer it. See, the poem asks two questions, why do I love Him, why did He suffer for me? Well, it comes down to love. Because of His love for me, and of course you, and our love for Him. All we have to do is choose. See, over 2000 years ago Christ died on the cross for us. This is the 2nd stanza in this poem;
Why did He do it?
Why did He suffer all that pain?
It was all because of love,
and I know He would do it again!

The Way Out (page 70)
This is a good poem to follow the previous one "Choose Or Lose". We all start this life the same, "crying". We get a spank on our bottoms and now we are in this life. As babies we need nurturing, as we start to grow we need to learn. For in this life we have to make decisions. We face right from wrong which most of the time translates into happy or sad. I believe our jail are full of people that contest to making a wrong decision and now are paying the price for it. Read the last two stanzas of this poem;
What seemed all dark,
from His Word became light,
He took all my wrongs,
and made me all right!
I said, “Lord, please tell me.
what for You can I do?”
He answered, “My Child,
tell others, for they need to know too!”

Choose Or Loose (page 69)
This poem speaks of challenges, heartbreakers. In the 2nd stanza it states that Jesus said, "Give them all to Me"! See, it is not just the great challenges that Jesus cares about, it is everything in our life He wants to be a part of. Our tears as well as our joys. So what it comes down to again is "choice". We must choose or as the poem states we surely will lose. I like how it stated it in the Bible, Matthew 25 40-45;
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
My friends what are you choosing?
God's Measuring Stick (page 68)
An interesting poem. In the Bible, Galatians 5:22-23 it speaks of the Fruits of the Spirit, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Now if this was as a way of measuring our lives where would we measure up to? I love this ending;
I saw you were arguing with
a Brother and Sister from church.
You didn’t appear to be in control,
you appeared angry and very hurt.
With down cast eyes I said,
“Forgive me Father, for it is true,
the reason that it happened
was I took my eyes off of You!

What Makes It Great (page 67)
I like this poem for there are a lot of comparisons in it. Beginning and an end, enemies and friends, love and hate, average and great. Life is full of the one thing or the other. What it comes down to is choice. We choose love or hate. Yes, even to average or great. Some doctors or lawyers paid a price for their chosen profession, money for the schooling and their time to study and learn. I like the end of this poem; I am a winner through Christ Jesus, Him living in me, is what makes it great! My friends, I had to choose Him, He already chose me.

God Did Not Leave Us Alone (page 66)
What a wonderful poem. This compares I guess the "haves" with the "have not's). Some times we do look at others and compare ourselves to them. Some homes seem like it is always happiness and laughter while some all the time depressed. Some homes seem like they have everything, their pockets are overflowing, while others can't find those two pennies to rub together. And there are those homes that are always healthy when others pain is a way of life. There is One comparison that is always the same for both, God is there, if you want Him to be.
Hear My Prayer, Lord (page 64)
This poem is a prayer against Cancer. So many people have been affected by it in one way or another. If you haven't had it more than likely someone you know had or has. Loved ones lives cut short by this terrible disease. But our God is greater than cancer. He is the great Physician. As it states in the poem, He gives the doctors wisdom and also the researchers the funds and the knowledge.
Please touch each one afflicted,
and give them peace within their hearts,
let them know You are with them, Lord,
as You have been from the start.
In Jesus precious name,
Amen

Victory Through Jesus (page 63)
Daily battles. Tell me what are you fighting daily? It always seems we do go through some type of battle as we live our lives. Some battles are smaller than others but a battle just the same. Maybe when we just open our mouth and speak, usually without thinking, the battle begins. This poem is about victory, and for me it is all through Jesus. The poem speaks about bitterness and anger and is we release to Jesus, peace can once again begin. The last line of the poem reads, "Victory is not in our hands but in Christ's hands above".

I Really Need You Now Lord (page 62)
I think the best way to describe this poem is starting with the last line of it,
"for without You,
how will I ever get by?" So many times we face trials or problems in our lives that no one, no matter how hard they try, can help you. There is an emptiness that only God can fill. There is only a peace that He can give. We desperately need to find that rest in Him.
You Can Have What I Have (page 61)
This poem was written to someone that doesn't know Jesus. A person may have more money than I do but I still have an abundant life. A person may have more food on their table or clothes on their backs but I still have an abundant life. See, as it says in the 23rd Psalm, The Lord is my Shepherd, my friends, I shall not or have no wants, except Him. This is the 3rd stanza of the poem;
Everything is waiting for you,
it has been there from the start.
All it takes is for you to believe
and ask Jesus into your heart.
I Can't Do It Alone (page 60)
After I reread this poem what came to mind was "Ministry is hard work". I guess understood this until I said to God, "Use me!" That He did. See my request was sincere and so was His invitation to come into the Kingdom. See, I believe that you don't just enter the Kingdom when you pass from this earth, those that accepted Christ into their hearts, but the Kingdom is also within us. As it says in the Lord's Prayer, "on earth as it is in Heaven." The poem says, I can't do it alone and the Father says, "Focus on Jesus, you are never alone!"
Our Daily Battles (page59)
When I read this poem I think, "Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to battle we go. Yep, everyday is a battle, a spiritual one. The enemy is shrewd and will try every trick in the book, as they say. So how do we fight him you might ask. Read what it states here in the Bible;
Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
OK, now onward you Christian soldier!

Your Soul Belongs To Him (page58)
A true poem as I read it again. It really comes down to what you want to believe. I do believe we carry a soul. I do believe it was created by God. Also it is on a journey, that only we decide, when you get to the age of reason. I believe our soul is sent on a learning journey. Also it is designed to return to Him. What each of us do not know is the length of the soul's journey and it's final destination. We do get to choose that, but please don't wait.

People Like You And Me (page 57)
After this book of poems got published the first one I received I gave to my friend, Dexter. He has always believed in me and supported the God's Love Outreach Ministry and also the encouragement in getting this book of poems published. I have been with him on several occasions when he would talk to someone about Jesus. He would encourage and share God's Word with others to strengthen their faith and their Christian journey. My friend Dexter definitely is what this poem is about.

The Church (page 56)
Sometimes I believe that "church" sometimes becomes more of a place to go and be entertained, or a meeting place to fellowship. But what of the true church? My friends, Jesus is the church. We should find a church where His name is praised. Where His Word is preached and studied. Joshua 1:8 reads; This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. It says the Bible we are to live by, so find a church where you can learn from it. Also we must remember we are all sinners, and that is what comes into a church. Yes my friends, as the last line of the poem states, "Get caught up in Jesus Christ, for that is the only church that will last!"
In Him (page 55)
In this poem you find "In Him" 13 times plus the title. So I take it as a sign that it must be important. It describes what it is when you are "In Him", alive, free, abundant life, no cares, eternal life, weak are strong, the blind can see, sinners become righteous, we're protected, and demon's flee. Wow! And that is just a few that are found in the poem. So I guess I would ask, "What demons would you like to flee from your life"?

For God Is Always There (page 54)
What is different about this poem than other poems in this book is the title is also the last line of each stanza. What a statement to make. See, no matter what you are going through, and we do go through a lot at times, we don't have to worry, "for God is always there!" In this world we are always looking with our worldly eyes, we want to believe only what we see and what I see is not satisfying me for sure. So I read from His Word where in Joshua 1:5 it states; as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. That tells me I don't have to worry "for God is always there"!
An Empty Container (page 53)
A poem that describes my Christian life. I truly started out empty. For sure what this world had to offer was not doing it for me. There are always temporary fills but I was always back to square one, looking for an answer. Well, I am no longer running on empty. What I pour out to others I find quickly being refilled again. What I fill up on is God's love! Oh there may be times this old container leaks, but praise Jesus, He fixes that quickly.

Teach Me (page 52)
This poem is about wanting to be taught. It is the old saying, "You didn't get because you didn't ask". In this poem I am asking. I want to know about His heart, His will, so I can live a better life. I want to learn about love and compassion so I can share with others. I want to know His Word and where He wants me to speak it. Yes, because I know that I am nothing with out Him! My friends, what are you asking for?

A Sinner Knocked On Heavens Door (page 51)
Just a nice poem speaking to all us sinners. Oh yes, we are all sinners.
Romans 3:10 states, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one".
But that can change my friends in a heartbeat. See, in the poem the sinner asked Jesus, "How can You want me with all my sin?" Jesus answered the sinner saying, “Your sin was all forgiven on the cross". Now the next line in the poem says a lot, "Heaven has always been your place". See, many fail to realize we were made to have a fellowship with God. Because of the fall of Adam and Eve we all are born into sin. At the end of the poem it states it is up to each of us to make the choice.

I Sing (page 50)
I have shared this poem many times in the God's Love Outreach programs. It describes why since January 2004 I have presented over 1450 programs where each program contains between 15 to 20 songs. The music is instrumental and I stand up in front of residents and staff of nursing homes and sing. Now what is amazing to me is I never planned on doing this as I was going through life. What is awesome about this poem is when you get to the end and it states; "
If you listen with your heart, my friends, it is not me singing, but Him!
Christ Lives Within Me (page 49)
I think when you read this poem you will agree it is "Basic Christianity 101". In the Book of John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. It doesn't get any plainer than that. Also just before Jesus went to the cross to die for "our" sins He told His disciples it was necessary so that the Holy Spirit can come and indwell in each of us that do accept Christ into our hearts. My friends, Christ does make all things new!!!

The Edge Of Heaven (page 48)
Just a wonderful poem about God looking down on each of His children. I can just imagine how proud the Father must be. Of course like with all children we don't always do as He wants or asks us to do. But He is a forgiving Father and loves us even with all our faults. My friends He loves each of us the same. Not one more than the other. One of the most well known verses in the Bible is John 3:16. When you read it then you can understand the amount of love the Father has for us.
" For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Here I Am Again Lord (page 47)
A good poem that in one way or another kind of describes each of us at one or all points of our lives. Lets break it down by stanza's. In the first it states being on bended knee. Well, I think we all have been there because of something that is bothering us and can't find the answer. So we go to the Answer! In the second stanza it speaks of wanting to be healthier but we do not eat that way. Also it talks about having money but some just don't want to work for it. In the third stanza it talks about having more friends but we don't talk to the ones we have. And also about our family, well, I guess each one could write something different there. Then comes the fourth stanza that states if our prayer isn't answer we don't think that's fair. Now come the ending of the poem that you must read to understand. God is definitely waiting to bless us my friends!

The Ashes Of Life (page 46)
To me this is a very touching poem. Heartfelt for sure. When I think of ashes I think of something damaged and ruined. Fire will damage something beyond recognition. In the poem it speaks of how God took these ashes from my life and caressed them with His tears. Why would God have tears for my life's ashes? Because I was created to be more than a conqueror as stated in the Bible, the Book of Romans 8:37. See, the last stanza of the poem says it best;
I lifted my eyes to
Heaven,
and thanked the Father above,
for through the ashes of my life,
He created beauty, all because of His love.
Reach Into God's Toolbox (page 45)
I like this poem that speaks about life's problems. When you have a problem the best solution is to fix it. Just like in our daily life, if something breaks we grab a tool to fix it. In our Spiritual life it works the same. The poem speaks about the Fruits of the Spirit as our spiritual tools. In the Bible you will find this in the Book of Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. The poem states "If the devil gives you heartaches, filled with jealously, anger and hate. Reach into God's toolbox, to fix the problem before it's too late!" Sounds like good advice to me!
The Rivers Of Grief (page 44)
I believe that "grief" comes into each life at one time or another. For some, many times. This poem is used to describe grief as a river. It runs deep! Its icy cold! Its currents are strong! But also in this poem is how God described it to me. It is a lesson which from to learn. There is wisdom within but it's doesn't come in our time but His. With grief it will bring us closer to Him if we let it. We don't bury the grief, we grow through it with Him!
An Alphabetic Poem To God (page 42 & 43)
I like how this poem worked out. Every letter in the alphabet describes a word used in the poem about God. Now here are the words used. You will have to read the poem as to how they make up the poem:
Abundant, Beauty, Caring, Devoted, Everlasting, Forgiving, Grace, Healer, Interested, Jealous, Kindness, Loving, Mighty, Near, Over, Pure, Question, Reassuring, Staying, Tender, Ultimate, Value, Worthy, X-ed, Yearning, Zeal.

The Eyes Of The World (page 41)
This is a simple poem about being a Christian. I do believe that people do watch to see if as the saying goes, "we practice like we preach". I would like to say that we "live" as we believe Christians should live. When we accept Jesus in our hearts the old sinful nature is replaced with His righteousness. God did not give Christians a lot of commandments to follow. Sometimes it appears people in today times use the Ten Commandments as a to-do list rather than a "don't" list. The last line in the poem states, "It can make the difference in someone’s life, if they see Jesus in you today!" Amen to that!

The Son's Light (page 40)
As I reread this poem three don'ts and a do stood out. Don't walk in darkness, don't let there be dark clouds, don't listen to worldly lies but "do" trust in the Heavenly Father. See Jesus will brighten our day, He will show us all the beauty to be found, and the Holy Spirit, the Father and His Son's light will shine through each of us if we let them. Do I hear an Amen?
Show Them, Touch Them, Reach Them Lord (page 39)
I remember writing this poem. Sometimes I would get kind of deflated after trying to reach out with the Gospel message. I have been presenting God's Love programs for over 11 years. I can't remember exactly which time it was but when I got back home I wrote this poem. I think I was asking help for I felt what I was doing wasn't working. So I asked the Lord to show them, through His awesome power, touch them with His mercy and grace, and to reach them so all can love Him like I do.
It's Up To You (page 38)
A wonderful poem that "all" should read and I hope understand. To me life is all about choices. My friends, you were made to decide! Adam and Eve was given everything in the Garden of Eden and God told them there was only one thing not to do in Genesis Chapter 2;
15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
So if you read further you will see Adam after listening to his wife made a choice a bad choice. The death God was telling Adam was a spiritual death, a separation from the Father. The last line of the poem reads; “You can choose a sinful life or you can choose Me!”
Wings (page 37)
I have often looked up in the sky and on a warm summer day watched the birds just glide through the air. Some stay closer to the ground but some fly higher and higher. Sometimes if I had troubles I would wish I could be like the birds. It would seem if I could my troubles would get farther and farther away. But we know this isn't going to happen. In this poem God asks, "Why is it you fear?" See, He already knows what we fear, but if we have faith in Him then we should not fear. Always remember Matthew 17:20, And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. I believe our problems are our "mountains". The mustard seed I think is one of the smallest and if your faith was that size it can move mountains. Praise God!

A Dad Entered Heaven (page 36)
I wrote this poem after hearing of their Dad's passing. I did know the gentleman briefly. For the most part he was probably like most dads. Like mine and maybe yours. I like the line in the poem what he did with his time, the answer, "The best I could of what was mine". See, we all are blessed in different ways. Some dads may have little but worked hard for what they have. The majority do it for their families. At the end of the poem the dad understands what was truly important before his job on earth was done. He knows that is was important his family and friends knows and loves Jesus like he does, "so together, we once again can be."

I Took It All For Granted (page 35)
This poem speaks of how quickly what we have can be taken from us. My friends the only thing I know that is for sure, is the love of Jesus Christ! Everything else is temporary. Just think about the everyday blessings, eyesight, hearing, use of your hands and feet. What about the use of your mind. Yep, could be lost with in the next second, one or all could be gone. So what do we do? Well, for me it is thank the good Lord for this second and use it for His purpose.
"d"epression Came To My House (page 34)
This poem was inspired by a friend I found on Facebook, Bob Bennett. He has dedicated his life to helping others over come their fight against depression "Victory Over Depression (VOD). As you read the poem it describes of how it robs people of the joy. It doesn't matter who it attacks, young or old. The ending of the poem states it so well, see, "the victory is in Jesus Christ once all the others decide to choose"! Amen

The Lonely Road (page 33)
This is a poem written thinking back as I once was. I traveled a lonely road at different times in my life. Though I was saved as a teenager, in 1958, I accepted Jesus in my heart at a skating rink, I never gave Him control of my life until 1997. You can read more about this on the back cover of "From God's Heart, to Mine, To Yours" where you can find all these poems mentioned in this blog. Once I surrendered my life to God, that is when I really found the light as mentioned in this poem. It was then I realized I wasn't traveling a lonely road alone. I pray that all these poems in this book can touch your lives as mine has been touched.
The Christian Hurts (page 32)
This poem goes well with the previous one. Some people believe that once you accept Christ into your heart and your Christian life now begins that you are exempt from suffering and pain. Not so, for believe me when you are fulfilling your purpose for the Kingdom the opposition, satan, is not happy with the Christians. The poem states "when storm clouds come and the sun disappears", we have all been there once or more in our lives. The next part states, "we can stand firm for with Jesus we have no fear"! Amen to that!

He Is Always There (page 31)
Yes He is! This poem was written to say just that. What I have found out is with each passing day that realization gets stronger and stronger. No matter what I am going through, He is there. There is nothing that is too big for my God! No mountain too high or river too deep. When everything else fails, He will not. No problem too big that He can't solve. No heartbreak too hard that He can't mend. My friends, no sin too big that He can't forgive. He is always there, just call out His name.

Crosses (page 30)
I remember this poem. The inspiration came from a story I heard or read, I can't remember which it was. The story as I remember goes like this. There was a man carrying a cross. He cried out to the Lord that it was too heavy. Jesus told him to open that door, that Jesus pointed to, and put it against the wall. Then Jesus pointed to another door and said to go back out. Next Jesus pointed to a door and said to the man, go in and pick out one that you would want. The man walked into a room and saw all these "large" crosses. Then he kept looking and saw this little one. He said to Jesus, "I want to carry this one"! Jesus looked at the man and said, "That is the one you came in with. Our cross always seems larger than some one else.
Your Purpose (page 29)
This poem ties very well into the previous one as we are to be fruit for the Kingdom. My friends, we have a purpose. Each and everyone has a reason why you are here on earth. To understand it before our time "here" on earth is over is something I believe many won't achieve. For it is God's purpose for us not our own. So how do we find our purpose? Well, I believe it comes through a relationship with Him. I think the last stanza in the poem says it best;
Friends, you will never understand your purpose
that God created you to be,
until you can look in the mirror
and say to yourself, "It's not about me!"
Fruit From The Cross (page 28)
A very interesting poem thinking of the Cross with good and bad thoughts and feelings. It was a tree that was formed into a Cross. Could this tree of been a fruit bearing tree? Well, in thinking of it's final mission it could be. Yes, Jesus died hanging on the Cross. But through His death and our belief in our "risen Lord', being His chosen sheep we can bring His gospel message to those that don't know Him. That is once again the fruit, my friends. Yes, in Jesus name!

The Key (page 27)
This is a poem that I pray each set of eyes that see it, or the ears that hear it, understand it. As written in the bible in Romans 14:11
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Also in John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
It doesn't get any clearer that that. Jesus is the key. See sin is the lock and Jesus is the key!

Are You Ready (page 26)
I was inspired with this poem as I see myself aging and as I tell my friends, "I am on the bell lap of my life." To me life is like running the mile as I remember back, way back, to my high school gym days in track. We start out fast, then pace ourselves, then after 3 laps hit the final bell lap! I guess in all honesty I must admit I am not "sprinting" for the finish. But I also must admit I now know there is a prize for me when I finish. This poem is about God asking me if I was ready to come home. But as much as that is the believer's prize, the finish line, I know there is still a lot of work to be done. His work. Yes, to tell others either by poetry, song or testimony there is a choice to be made. My friends, "Are you ready?"

Being Humble (page 25)
Being humble for me means getting your eyes off yourself. Hard for some to do but me comes easy. I am a very compassionate person. I like this poem especially where it states, "If not for His love and grace, there never would be a me." Now if that doesn't humble you I don't know hat could my friends. See, I had no choice for this life, God did. Oh, I do for the next one! That is why I believe this life is a learning experience. Learn about Him!

Whispers Of Love (page 24)
I once heard the statement, "You don't find love, it finds you!" How true that is. Even with God. In the bible Jeremiah 1:5 reads;
"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
God knew us even before we were born. My friends He was whispering His love to us before our time on earth started. In the poem it reads, Then He whispered, “I have whatever you need, for with my love you never will lack. All I ever wanted, My child, is that you love Me back.”

Modern Day Disciple (page 23)
In the Book of Matthew, chapter 4 verse 18 - 20 it reads;
18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two
brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the
sea: for they were fishers.
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you
fishers of men.20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
This poem speaks in todays times. Yes, Jesus is the same yesterday as He is today as He will be tomorrow. God doesn't change. As you read the scripture above notice Peter and Andrew did not hesitate. Would any of us today? Well, for me I can only repeat what is found in the last stanza of this poem, "Lord, You know my heart, with You I long to be!"
Grab Hold (page 22)
I remember being inspired with this poem. Sometimes in life we end up, it seems, alone. Sometimes not by choice. When this happens and we look for help, where can we turn? No matter which way we would look there was no help in sight. This poems I think goes well with the scripture found in the Book of Psalms, chapter 121 verse 1 and 2:
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence
cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and
earth.The end of the poem states, I cried to the Lord, where are You to behold? He said, "Lookup, My child, and just grab hold!"
God's Gift (page 21)
This is a good poem about gifts. Everyone likes to receive a gift now and then. Probably more now than then. The poem speaks about the gift from God, it is called "Salvation". Yep, it will never be outdated or decay. This gift given because of His love and grace will last forever and was paid in full! Amazing when I think back as a child, many, many years ago, after all the Christmas gifts were open there seem to be a let down. Why, I guess for we always want and expect more. Not with this gift my friends! And as an added bonus it comes with a "eternity" warranty! Thank You, Jesus!

New Through Christ (page 20)
Whenever I think of this poem this scripture comes to mind;
Whenever I think of this poem this scripture comes to mind;
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
This poem speaks about being born again. I believe each life does have a purpose that the Creator only knows. His Holy Spirit that once indwells, us through the acceptance of Jesus into our hearts, will guide us as we reach out to others in Jesus name. Yes, we become brand new, special in the Father's sight.
I Am Someone Special (page 19)
This poem I think describes the true Christian. We are special for we are the Father's children. When we accept Jesus in our hearts we take on His attributes, His nature. When someone looks onto our face as Christians they should be seeing the face of Jesus. Our eyes should reflect His love. Our mouths should speak His Word. Our ears should be listening for those in need. I would pray that people do see Jesus in you today, as I pray they see in me.

Planting Seeds (page 18)
This an interesting poem. It describes myself as a gardener. My job is to plant seeds in this life we call our garden. The seeds described in this poem is "Love" seeds. What is interesting is thinking od love as a seed. A kind word. A smile. An understanding heart. A listening ear. Yes, I do feel that I am God's gardener. I plant the seeds and He brings them to harvest. Of course the nourishment comes from His Word! B-I-B-L-E. Basic Information Before Leaving Earth is what it stands for, I read some place.

Touch Someone For Me (page 17)
This is a poem that was written for me but really is for anyone who has accepted Christ into their heart. For us there is work to do. Our lives are for God. His Holy Spirit lives in us. This poem speaks about touching someone's life for God. Reaching out to those in need as each one of us was before we come to Christ. It truly is about God and not us.

The Morning of September 12th (page 16)
September 11th, 2010 will always be in the hearts and minds of those that felt that incredible loss and heartbreak. We are so blessed to live in this country that we take that blessing for granted. Many people probably blame God for letting this happen to America, but in reality it was man to blame. For a brief time churches were full again, people were looking to and for God. My friends, He never left!

Please Let Me Use (page 15)
This poem was inspired by a request by God. Ever since the Garden of Eden man was put in charge. Of course whenever man/woman is in charge they want to do it their way. Well, before the fall of man, God and His greatest creations, man/woman, had a wonderful union with Him. What God thought, they thought. After the fall that union was broken. But God still had to keep what He gave man/woman, dominion over the earth. God works through us. This poem is His request to each of His children through His Son, Jesus. See once you accept Jesus in your heart the Father can once again have a relationship with us. Thank You Jesus!

The Warrior (page 14)
This poem was written for a young woman who was in a battle for her life. It seemed everything she and her family was doing just was not working. All the medical people that worked to make her better just didn't have the answers. One part of the poem asks, "When is enough really enough?" So many fighting daily probably asking that question. I have at times myself. In the poem it makes reference to the gospel Book of John, chapter 16 verse 33. Yep, in this life we will have trials and tribulations but always read the end of the verse, "Jesus has conquered all!"

The Heart (page 13)
I remember sharing this poem in a program titled "Message of Love". That program is presented in February where we celebrate Valentines Day. But when we think of the heart we think about the one that is beating and functioning inside us. Well, I pray it is for if not we have problems. The heart mentioned in the poem is the Spiritual heart. The soul. In the poem it states that when you're feeling troubled in your heart His Spirit seek and listen to the Word that He does speak. Then it states if we don't the heart gets very exhausted just to make it through the day!

May This Day (page 12)
This poem I wrote to describe what I would want my day to be. My friends we are given only so many. I believe we are accountable for each one. What do you want from your day? Are you going to take for all you are worth or are you going to give? I guess to the answer of my day it is also described in the previous poem. I do want to be like Him. Why wouldn't I for my life is now His. If you go back to the beginning of the blog you can read about it. In this poem I describe that my thoughts, actions, my words all be about Jesus.

I Want To Be Like Him (page 11)
This poem was inspired after presenting a God's Love program at a nursing home. When I was visiting with the residents one grabbed my hand and said, "Please stay for awhile", and would not let go. The woman was lonely, she was probably wanting for someone to spend time with her. The woman asked me why I come and do programs there? I told her, "Because I want to be like Him, isn't this what Jesus would do?"

I'm Talking To You (page 10)
This poem was inspired at a time when I was feeling down. Sometimes in this world that can happen a lot. Maybe at a place of employment, or at school because a test is coming up. I do remember those days though they are far behind me now. Maybe even in a relationship after an argument. Could even be at church, yep, it can happen there too. What the Lord told me was to think of all that He has given me, yes, He was talking to me.
When Words Just Aren't Good Enough (page 9)
I remember writing this poem. I had a friend who just experienced a great loss. What can we say when no matter what is said just can't stop the hurt. We want the hurt that the person is going through and the heartache to stop, if not subside for a while. So what I did was pray. This poem is the answer the Spirit touched my heart with. See, lifting the person up to God is the best part of being a friend.

It Was Never About This Life (page 8)
This is a good poem to follow "I Love You, He Said". To me everything in life has a perspective. I have found this life is a learning experience. I thought many times, "Why is it even when I am getting older (old) I am still learning?" Yep, life is a learning experience. So now you might be asking, "What have you learned older guy?" The title of the poem answers that. The poem describes what the title is about. And guess what I have learned, life is not about you and is not about me. So if you haven't read the poem you might be waiting for an answer to life. Ok, without putting the whole poem here I will describe in four letters, "L-O-V-E". I will put the last stanza of the poem here for those who do not want to spend a little money to be blessed, here it is:
For you have one more
day

So each day you are on this
earth
think how blessed you have
been.
to learn it’s all about Him!
