Get Behind Me satan (page 125) If you believe it or not we fight an enemy each and everyday.  The devil is and always will be trying in whatever way he can to keep your focus off Jesus.  He wants to make your day/days "a living hell!"  The only way to make sure he does not is to keep your focus on Jesus and His Word.  In Revelation the last book in the Bible it states that his end is coming.  So until then let us all say, "get behind me!"

To And Fro (page 124) Just a simple poem about searching.  I believe in this life we are all searching for God.  Most probably just don't realize it for they think they can do it on their own.  But sooner or later we all realize that we need Him.  You could be the strongest, healthiest person with no worries until that one time comes when you understand "we need Him"!

Today Is Sunday (page 123) A good poem that speaks of Sunday.  In the Bible Exodus 20:11 it states,   "For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."  Yes, Sunday is the Lord's day but for so many it is regarded as just another day.  I love the last sentence of the poem for it states the other six days in the week should also be for Him!

He Is Waiting For You (page 122) This is a very simple poem with a very strong message.  Ever since the beginning of time God has waited and still waits for each of us.  See, since day one in each of our lives He gave man and woman free will.  I truly believe this was done so we can choose to love Him or not love Him.  We can go through this life believing our blessings are from what we have done but that is truly not so.  Everything is His.  What God wants from us will never change, He wants our love!  You can't love without choosing to and that is what God is waiting for.

He Touched My Soul (page 121)  I truly believe the only one that can reach our souls is the One that created it.  As we go through this life many times our heart is touched, one way or another.  But the soul, when you can actually feel that, well, nothing can compare. In this poem it states "He reached within my inner being", yes, only God can do that.  No here is the key, you have to want Him too!

Each Day Is Different (page 120) Well, two main factors are brought to life in this poem. Change and God.  This life truly changes by the second but God does not.  How awesome to grasp and realize that the God of creation is the same from day one.  As humans we change quite frequently.  One minute happy then the next sad for whatever the reason. We fall in and out of love as the hands on the clock click by.  But not God's love for each of us.  Oh, we may disappoint Him many times but His love for us is as strong as when we were first born.

I Came Back To The Cross Today (page 119) Very fitting for this poem to follow the previous one.  This poem speaks of an action that is required by each of us.  We have to decide that we WANT to be in a relationship with Jesus.  See when I did He took all my pain and sorrows.  I gave all my guilt and shame to Him and left it nailed to the Cross.  Yes, He is waiting for everyone!

Meet Me At The Cross (page 118) This poem speaks of Jesus and the Cross.  Still today so many people only think of this at Easter but in truth it is a daily meeting for each of us.  Also the poem speaks of how temporary this world we live in is.  What is important is being One with Jesus for all eternity.

Winnings Through My Sufferings (page 117) One of my favorite says is "It's a good life if you don't weaken!"  Of course the work weaken can be translated also as suffering.  The hardest part of life is when we are going through our suffering days no matter what the reason behind it.  I discovered that I can win even though it appears I am losing as I go through whatever trial.  See, I had to understand to get my eyes off myself and focus on Jesus and others.

Broken Heart, Healed Heart (page 116) There is one word that flows through this poem and that is "Heart".  In today's times many people will experience their hearts broken at one time or another.  The good news is that God is in the mending hearts business for sure.  An interesting ending to the poem is how it states besides God's help our hearts are also healed by family and friends plus sharing with others.

This Message Is For You (page 115) I believe this poem states the reason for all the poems I have been blessed to write.  Not merely a "roses are red, violets are blue" rhyming words but actual message in each one for someone/someone's that only the Lord knows who.  My part is the loving, obedient servant and messenger. The message is always about His love for us.

Man Of God (page 114) This poem describes what I try to be and show all daily.  What I have discovered with my walk with God is intensifies when my feet hit the floor.  Each morning I start my day by saying, "Good morning Lord, I love You. What can I do for You today?"  Yep, one day I will be called away for my work for Him will be done.  God bless all the men and women of God!

Speak To Them For Me (page 113) This poem speaks about the mission that God put on my heart.  Little did I realize when I published this my first book of poems that three others would follow.  Prior to publishing poems I also had an outreach ministry where I would go to nursing homes and share God's love through musical programs.  Oh, for sure I was speaking to all about Him.

Do You Have Time For Him (page 112)  This poem I believe speaks of three items, ourselves, our time, and God.  There is only so many minutes in a day.  For sure eight plus hours is devoted for sleep. So for the most part that leaves 16 hours that we are awake.  The poem touches on any of our awake time that we share with God.  What I always find interesting is for most when things go bad that is when they seek Him.  My friends He wants the all time.  He is there all the time and He is thinking of us!

Broken And Wounded (page 111) This poem I believe describes so many people's lives.  As each day passes by more and more are broken and wounded by the trials of this world.  We each believe that we are alone in our earthly battles but that is not so.  A favorite quote of mine is "I cried for I had no shoes till I saw someone without any feet!". Remember it states in the Bible that we are going to have trials and tribulation but always remember Jesus has conquered "all" and is with you going through them.

The Heart Of Christ (page110) Well, if you have a true relationship with Jesus then you will understand this poem.  When I penned this poem for my first book of 4 self-published books I didn't realize I would be writing 3 more.  I never realized how much poetry would become a part of my life but for sure God knew.  See, when you surrender your life to Him, His life becomes yours.  Your heart becomes His!

Is There Something I Can Do (page 109) In the Bible Mark 16:15-16, it states, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."  This poem I believe speaks of what I feel and as Christians what we all should feel.  If you stop and think about it, "into all the world" means where you are today and each place you go.  Yes, the Gospel message is that important for all to hear.

Walking This Lonely Land (page 108) A true poem that shares my belief being a Christian and with an understanding to what this life for me is.  There is a song I would share when I presented the God's Love musical programs in nursing homes titled, "Temporary Home".  As Christians we should all understand that this world is not our home.  We don't know how long we will be in our earthly home but I truly believe Jesus is waiting for. me with arms wide open to welcome me home!

Touch A Life (page 107) As many people in their life probably ask, "Why was I born?" This poem I believe answers that question.  We each get caught up in our own, sometimes selfish world that we fail to see anyone else's needs.  I have found in my own personal life that much satisfaction and purpose came when I got my eyes off myself.

See This Love Within Me (page 106) Ever since March 1997, when I asked God to take control of my life, a day by day, minute by minute, change started taking shape.  A love relationship with Jesus Christ grew from a kindling spark to a consuming fire inside me.  I think this poem describes it very well!

We Are All The Same (page 105) It always seems that throughout life there is always division by either race, color, sex, or our individual beliefs.  This poem speaks about the undeniable fact that we are all the same, created in the image of almighty God.  Yes, we just don't understand but we are all the same!
