Do Not Be Distracted (page 142) I would say the key word for this poem is "focus". With all that goes on in the world today and being able to receive news, good or mostly bad, quickly we can be distracted easily. When you get your eyes off Jesus for sure things can and will get worse. Of course having a relationship with Him may add to you problems it is better keeping you focus on Him as we go through them with Him.

When Tears Flowed From The Cross (page 141) This is a good poem and ties in good with the previous one. I can't imagine what Jesus went through just because of His love for us. I truly believe as it is written He asked His Father, "Why have thou forsaken Me?" Remember prior to Good Friday Jesus when praying asked His Father, "If there is any way to take this cup from Me!" Jesus knew what was going to take place! He did it for you and me.
As I Look At the Cross (page 140) I love this poem for it takes me and I pray others back in time. It is that ever pressing question, "What would you do?" Sometimes when we see or read of things that happened we just shake our heads and think, I wouldn't have done that but way down deep we all wonder, would we? There is a saying the closer you get to the Cross the fear people you find.

A Mere Bag Of Shells (page 137) This is a poem about life. It states many times what life isn't about but also what it should be. There is a comparison between right and wrong. In the end when we stop and think about it when it comes to good and bad if we choose bad then we will always be left with nothing.
A God Day Is Upon Us (page 136) Each day that we are blessed with we choose what to do with it. I choose to use it in serving God. It is written that we should all "seek the Kingdom first" before we start our day. We must also understand that we cannot do it on our own. We need the Holy Spirit's guidance and direction using the Word of God as our daily guide.
The Love Of Jesus (page 135) This is a good poem to follow the previous one. All throughout this poem it states what I don't need which are worldly items for sure. What I found that fills all the voids is the love of Jesus and a relationship with Him. What ever I do, wherever I go He is there with me. Nothing better than that.

It Doesn't Matter Lord (page 133) For me, and that is all I can speak for, this is a truthful poem. What I discovered was with Jesus whatever comes or came against me doesn't matter. See, how could it when the God of all creation is with you and you with Him? As it states in God's Word, "If God be for us, who can be against us?"
Jesus Is The Light (page 132) This is a very true poem, especially for today's times. So many trials that people are going through which leaves them in the dark. When we start to not see a way out of the trial many just stay lost, confused and hurting. Probably at one or many times in our lives we each have been there. The poem states that if you turn to Jesus you will see that He is the what will light our way. Yep, He did for me!
A Love Just For Me (page 131) Just a simple poem about love. It seems in our life time we do experience various times when love enters our lives. The poem states it can also can leave in a short time for what ever reason. But what this poem emphasizes or leads the presence of true love if you are blessed to find it.
Wait On Him (page 130) I always remember when I was in the service an expression we understood was "Hurry up and wait!" This poem speaks about the waiting when we want something from God. Of course we live in a "I want it now" time. But God tells us to be still and wait. We don't see what He is doing in the background to grant us what we want. The poem also gives a recommendation from God as to what we can do while waiting.

The Gift (page 128) I have heard it stated that God's love and grace to us is a gift, that's why each day is called "the present". What is amazing is not one of us deserves it. That is what grace is. It all began in the Garden of Eden. God wanted to share His creation and love with Adam and Eve. Can you imagine walking everyday with God? Well, one day we all can or will, if you accept His gift to us. Yes, we must first choose. There is no other gift that can compare.
Why The Smile (page 127) For sure this life at time can keep the smile from anyone's face. Have you noticed that true Christians have an eternal smile. For sure we all go through many trials in our lives but if take to heart what Jesus went through and conquered all, yes for us, well why wouldn't we smile. My friends once you can grasp and understand that then you will agree God''s love and peace equates to our smiles!
