I Need Your Help Today, Lord (page 2)
For over 11 years I have presented programs in over 70 nursing homes or similar establishments. Believe me I have seen the need. By the need I mean of the residents or their family members because of how their lives have changed. Many, many hurting, crippled, lost individuals that are looking for something. This poem I was inspired because of that cry for help that I felt.
The poem speaks about "the smile that seldom appears, overtaken by grief and pain". At the end of the poem is an answer to that cry for help, "May my focus be on You, Lord, so my problems seem far away!"
